Work is crazy so I've not had much time to play. I'm so tired. I don't have enough energy to spin and I think my knitting project requires more brain power than I have to offer!
I did finish the beaded braid. I'm still debating how to finish the ends. I ran out of beads at 38" so it is quite long. It is a great length to use as lariat though. I'm going to cap the ends but am undecided whether to leave the ends plain or add a beaded tassel.
I made another braid while I am deciding. A simple 8 warp braid. Half white, half black.
4 strands size FFF silk thread equals 1 warp for a total of 32 strands.
Cut thread about 60". Folded in half, making 30" or so warps. Starting end is flat no knot. Finished length after hand stretching but prior to steaming, 27.5" from end to the knot. About 4.5mm in diameter. I oddly ran out of white first by about 6".
My camera dislikes this braid. It is so much prettier in the hand.
